DTFTの定義

簡単の為、信号の定義域が1次元の場合について説明する。$\Ts>0$とする。$f:\integers\to\complexNumbers$に対して、次式で定義される、$\omega\in\realNumbers$に関する連続座標信号を$f$の離散時間Fourier変換(Discrete Time Transform; DTFT)という。

$\omega$は角周波数である。DTFTは$\omega$に関する$2\pi/\Ts$周期関数である。

連続座標信号との関係

連続座標信号$f_\text{c}:\realNumbers\to\complexNumbers$をサンプリング周期$\Ts$すなわち周波数$\fs\coloneqq 1/\Ts$でサンプリングした離散座標信号を$f_\text{d}: \integers\to\complexNumbers$とする。$f_\text{d}$のDTFTに於ける角周波数$\omega$を周波数$f$を用いて$\omega\coloneqq 2\pi f$と表す。

$n$が1だけ変化すると、元の連続座標信号の対応する座標は$\Ts$だけ変化し、DTFTのカーネル関数$\exp(i\omega n\Ts)$の偏角は$\omega\Ts = 2\pi f\Ts$だけ変化する。つまりDTFTの定義域に於ける周波数$f$に対応する元の連続座標信号の周波数は$f$であり、スケールは保たれている。

DTFTの定義で述べたように、DTFTは周期が$2\pi/\Ts$であるから、一意に区別できる角周波数は$-\pi/\Ts\leq\omega<\pi/\Ts$、つまり一意に区別できる周波数は$-1/(2\Ts)\leq f<1/(2\Ts)$である。この事実と、先程述べたDTFTと元の連続座標信号との周波数の関係から、DTFTに於いて一意に区別できる周波数に対応する元の連続座標信号の周波数$f$は$-\fs/2 \leq f < \fs/2$である。
