はじめに

数ヶ月ほど前に、WebカメラとOpenCVを使う仕事で3次元の計量に関する計算が必要になった。そのときに座標変換に関して頭を整理するために考えたことをメモしておく。

世界とカメラの相対的位置,姿勢の関係

カメラの世界座標系座標と姿勢が既知の状況で任意の点のカメラ座標系座標を得る

上の図に於ける$\bm{t}_\text{c}$(世界の原点に対するカメラの位置)と$R_\text{c}$(世界に対するカメラの姿勢)が既知であるとする。任意の点の世界座標系座標$\bm{r}_\text{w}$をカメラ座標系座標$\bm{r}_\text{c}$に変換する式は次のようにして求まる。カメラを$R_\text{c}$の逆向きに回転させると、カメラ座標系は世界座標系と平行になり、カメラから見て$\bm{r}_\text{c}$は$R_\text{c}\bm{r}_\text{c}$に移る。そして$R_\text{c}\bm{r}_\text{c} = \bm{r}_\text{w} – \bm{t}_\text{c}$が成り立つので、$\bm{r}_\text{c} = R_\text{c}^\top(\bm{r}_\text{w} – \bm{t}_\text{c})$である。そこで

$$ R_\text{w2c} \coloneqq R_\text{c}^\top,\;\bm{t}_\text{w2c} \coloneqq -R_\text{c}^\top\bm{t}_\text{c} $$

とすれば、求めたかった変換則は次式である。

$$ \bm{r}_\text{c} = R_\text{w2c}\bm{r}_\text{w} + \bm{t}_\text{w2c} $$

世界座標系座標からカメラ座標系座標への変換則が既知の状況下でカメラの世界座標系座標と姿勢を得る

任意の世界座標系座標$\bm{r}_\text{w}$からカメラ座標系座標$\bm{r}_\text{c}$への変換則

$$ \bm{r}_\text{c} = R_\text{w2c}\bm{r}_\text{w} + \bm{t}_\text{w2c}\qquad(1) $$

が既知であるとする。このとき、世界に対するカメラの位置$\bm{t}_\text{c}$と姿勢$R_\text{c}$は次のようにして求まる。前問より

$$ \bm{r}_\text{c} = R_\text{w2c}^\top\bm{r}_\text{w} – R_\text{w2c}^\top\bm{t}_\text{c} \qquad (2) $$

が成り立つ。(1),(2)を連立させて、任意の$\bm{r}_\text{w}$に対して関係式が成り立つことから

$$ R_\text{c} = R_\text{w2c}^\top,\; \bm{t}_\text{c} = -R_\text{w2c}^\top\bm{t}_\text{w2c} $$
